The annual cost of membership varies based on your membership grade and occupational level or your membership type.
Depending on your situation, you may be eligible for a concession on your membership fee.

A one-off $105 administration fee is payable in addition to the membership fee when you first join Engineers Australia. This administration fee will be waived if you apply to join by 31 August 2025
Membership operates on a financial year basis from 1 July to 30 June of each year. The prices shown below are for the 2025–2026 financial year.

Concessions
Concession discounts apply for the following circumstances.
- Retired: if you're a retired member over the age of 55 who is no longer working full time. To be eligible you’d need to be earning no more than $50,000 per year and have held membership continuously for five years.
- In full time study: if you’re studying full-time for a Masters or PhD in your area of engineering.
- Temporary financial assistance: if you’re temporarily out of work because you’re unemployed or experiencing reduced work hours, have parental responsibilities, own your own business or are experiencing a downturn in income.
